At the opening of the Transpositions exhibition at the Museum of Non-Conformist Art, Agathe Simon introduces herself as Ms. Dumont, Head of the Contemporary Art Department at the French Institute in St Petersburg. She explains that Agathe Simon is late for her performance and that, while waiting for her, she will present this artist whom she has been following for several years.
Under this fictional identity, Agathe Simon then comments on her own works presented in the exhibition, notably the Crime & Crime installation, with the unctuously peremptory tone and clever digressions typical of certain institutional codes. This performance is part of the Crime & Crime multimedia cycle, created as a tribute to the novel Crime & Punishment by Dostoevsky.
